A scary change

A technology becomes omnipresent, if the public perceives it continuously, bouncing from multiple sources which determine the topic on which one must confront, then it rises to a higher dignity with implications that can undermine the consolidated. The hype increases algorithms that could be described as Big Data, Data Mining quickly flow into the noun of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Where does an AI system get all this intelligence this is the question we must ask ourselves, because the data will then be a source for Machine Learning (ML).

Business and social models based on computer data pose a risk of discrimination and social and economic surveillance.

The various passes and point systems are the tangible example of the distorted use on which to build a complicated regulated model of privacy. The speed with which ML and AI are developing and will develop catches unprepared those who have the role of guarantor in limiting the sphere of invasiveness compelled by legitimacies disguised for the common good.

The algorithms and instruction sequences of the social media and search engines reflect the business model of technology companies that is based on revenue from the sale of ads and, since the bottom line is the profit that reigns.

Any form of content that increases profit will always be prioritized as algorithmic instruction

Negative stories will always be put in first order, as they are shared more frequently than positive stories.

Can we say that a company is transparent because it complies with the publication of regulated content such as financial statements, notes and/or voluntary ethical declarations of quality and environmental policies? No! The danger also lies in the intrinsic prejudices of the working groups of computer engineers and the management class whose work is included in the development specifications, replicated and disseminated in digital platforms and in algorithmic development.

We should not be surprised that already fourteen years ago Mark Zuckerberg clearly said that privacy is no longer a social norm . A very clear model resulting from evolution (involution).

At the face of baking soda!1

A (negative) reference model on which we are building, probably has already been built to a large extent, the behavioral reprogramming, the purposes of which have been clear from the origin by those that hold the information.

The deception is that we give too much emphasis to AI, we believe it has synaptic capacity and consciousness where there is none, it is just a reflection of what we want to see and what we like to believe. It is wrong to define the term artificial intelligence because it does not understand and is not capable of knowledge.

An example of mislearning, in 2015 a Google bug was discovered that made a sensational mistake in labeling photos of black people as monkeys\chimpanzees, the joking association of the concept of monkey to black people was the source (in this case) of the error, click here.

What Europe is doing and a look at the USA

EU Regulation on Artificial Intelligence, click here. Since artificial intelligence is based on the processing of large volumes of data and many AI systems and applications rely on the processing of personal data, establish the right to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and provide for the adoption of rules on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.

AI Insight Forum, click here. United States Senate SAFE Innovation Framework, objectives politicians for that it calls an all-hands effort to tackle artificial intelligence (AI).

He called this a “moment of revolution” that will lead to “profound and dramatic change” and called on experts that “predict that in a few years the world could be completely unrecognizable from the one in which we live in today.”
